Free Gold Project Notes
“A characteristic thing in the desert here is, of course, the desert itself. And I have always regarded it as the greatest lesson in construction.”
Frank Lloyd Wright
Like the mountains made up of boulders stacked to the sky, our Free Gold project stacks its forms of walls and glass. Perched high on a hilltop, the stacked forms take full advantage of the panoramic views of the valley below.
Entrance to the house is through a two-story foyer, the staircase up to the main level is backed by a wall of water. This wall of water is a continuation of the exterior pools 40-foot knife edge, creating a shimmering, dancing sculpture of water.
At the top of the stairs is an open airy great room, with fireplace, island kitchen and beautiful floor to ceiling 10’ wide pair of doors that open directly onto the pool outside, and corner windows to the expansive views. Heading up the rear steps are 2 bedrooms, featuring a beautiful view to the east. There is also a shared bath, laundry and, of course, the spectacular Primary Suite.
Perched high atop the front of the house is the all glass primary suite with floor to ceiling gold glass to grab every square mile of the sweeping valley view below. To take full advantage of this view, the oak and marble bath is completely open to the primary bedroom; and, when privacy is required, can be closed off with disappearing sliding oak panels. Completing this dynamic suite is a walk-in closet with the same jetliner views.
All 2,400 sq. ft. of our Free Gold Project will set the gold standard for hilltop projects in all of Yucca Valley.
