Renowned Contemporary Architect Dean Larkin Featured in Scandalabra Article
February 11, 2022 – Renowned contemporary architect Dean Larkin’s Scandalabra podcast was recently highlighted in interviews with Mark Brunetz, the creator of the podcast series.
Dean Larkin was excited to be interviewed for the Scandalabra podcast and mentioned in episode number 10 that he was glad to see the dialogue about architecture and design facilitated by Brunetz.
Recently, as the second season of Scandalabra was being aired, Brunetz was interviewed by Marni Jameson, of At Home With Marni Jameson.
Larkin was referenced during the interview when Jameson asked,
“When you talked with renowned architect Dean Larkin (whose residential work includes some of the most iconic and expensive homes in Los Angeles, including the restoration of Lionsgate, a 24,000-square-foot Bel Air home valued at $65 million) he says, “Ignore the ‘isms.’” What did he mean?”
Brunetz explained that design shouldn’t be rushed as the most successful rooms are designed over time. He noted,
“As for the idea of timeless design, Larkin sees it differently: We must consider the time we live in and move forward. Great design is a nexus of people, space, and the time they are in. That changes.”
The interview has been featured in a wide variety of online publications to date, including NOLA.com, The OrlandoSentinel.com, GlobalCirculate.com, MercuryNews.com, Aryan-ArtNews.com, and DailyAdvent.com
